SUMMER MUSIC CAMPS
SUMMER UKULELE CAMP
Learn the basics of how to play ukulele! Students may bring their own instrument, or can register in advance to purchase one (to keep) through our class. The class will conclude with a performance on the final day!

Ages: 8 and up; no musical experience necessary

Students may register to purchase a ukulele for an additional $40.

SUMMER COMPOSERS CAMP
Join us for this fun camp, as campers explore several influential composers through exciting activities and games!

Monday, July 22 through Thursday, July 25 1pm-3pm
Ages: 6 through 13 years
No pre-requisite required.

SUMMER JAZZ FUNDAMENTALS CAMP
Study and apply the basic fundamentals of jazz playing, in an ensemble setting! Students will
be exposed to basic lead sheet reading, chord structure, improvisation, and style through
listening, performing, and discussion. The class concludes with a performance for families
to enjoy!

Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18 10am-12pm
Ages: 10 and up
Open to all instruments and voice; PRE-REQUISITE of at least one year
of formal study on designated instrument.

ROCK ENSEMBLE PROGRAM
Many students taking private instrument/voice lessons are ready to participate in an ensemble experience, or perhaps have played in a group before and are ready to “hone” their skills with other musicians. In our Rock Ensemble program, students perform out in various public venues with a group that is coached by an experienced teacher.
Students work together as a band on popular tunes and original works appropriate to the
instrumentation and skill level of participants. Ensembles also have the opportunity to
perform at many community events and locations throughout the year.
The program is open to ALL instruments and voice ages 9 through adult. Students
need the minimum of 1 year of study on their instrument(s) to participate.

YOUTH GUITAR ENSEMBLE
Enjoy exploring and performing multi-part music with other guitarists in a group setting! Our Guitar Ensemble performs throughout the year in various community events and venues.

Pre-requisite: At least one year of guitar lessons (or contact instructor for
special permission)
Class Date and Time: Saturday afternoons (call for availability)
